Since leaving Debt Relief International in 2006 Hannah Bargawi has joined a Swiss-funded research project on trade in primary commodities jointly at SOAS, University of London and the World Trade Institute. More information on the project can be found at www.nccr-trade.org

Through this project Hannah is in the process of obtaining a PhD on primary commodity production, institutional change and volatility in low-income countries and is currently in the process of completing her fieldwork in coffee and cotton-growing regions of Tanzania. Prior to this Hannah worked as a researcher for Debt Relief International co-authoring various studies on issues relating to debt, new finance and the Bretton Woods Institutions.
