Caoimhe de Barra (1970) is policy and advocacy coordinator with Trócaire, the Irish Catholic Agency for World Development, where she has worked since 1997.

Her areas of responsibility include development finance, participation and poverty reduction. She has co-authored the Trócaire report: “The Other Side of the Coin – An Alternative Perspective on the Role of the IMF in Low-Income Countries” (September 2004). She also wrote “PRSP as Theatre – Backstage Policy Making and the Future of the PRSP Approach” (September 2004) and “PRSP: Are the World Bank and IMF Delivering on Promises” (April 2004). Both were written for CIDSE/Caritas Internationalis.
